1. Educational leadership, began in 2006; will finish 08/2008, including principal certification.
2. 10 years of teaching experience, most of it overseas. I have taught grades 3-10. Most recently I was a curriculum coordinator at the Åmerican International School of Bucharest.
3. I started (and for three years) ran a school for street children in Bucharest (1997-2000). Before that I was a journalist for 10 years.
4. I plan to return overseas was soon as this school year is over. My preference would be to take an assistant principalship at a fairly large school, though it is sometimes easier to get a principalship at a small school.
5. Goal for the course: learn new techniques I can use when making presentations.
6. Help topic: Technologically--nothing. But I know a lot about curriculum and instruction.

To begin this course for the fall 2007 iteration, I’d like to collect some information about the members of the class. Since this information is useful/interesting not just to me but to the other members of the class, we’ll do it in the form of a blog post. So: please respond to this blog post with the following information (and look in the comments for my responses):

Your name
Your program (e.g., TLT - Secondary Education, certification + MEd)
When you started your program
When you intend to finish
Any formal teaching experience you’ve had (i.e., you were paid or received course credit for it)
Any important informal teaching experiences you’ve had (e.g., extended childcare of school-age children, coaching)
Where you hope to be and what you hope to be doing in 5 years
One goal you have for your personal learning in this class
One “help topic” you can offer: “I can be a resource for people who are having difficulty with…”
